One of the things Mike and I wanted to do with this 50 For 50 project is also create a space to celebrate music. And what better way to celebrate music than to create playlists of all the music we’re talking about.
As part of our discussion about New Edition’s Heartbreak, we talked about our Top 5 list of favorite New Edition songs as well as favorite songs from the New Edition members, but outside of the New Edition group.
You can listen to that episode below.
But what we also did is create a playlist of all the New Edition songs we talked about. And we plan to do this for other artists whose albums we will cover in this project. I imagine that Mike was once a mixtape and mix-CD master in his younger days because he’s also excellent at putting playlists together. If you need playlists lessons, dial up Mike Joseph.
Here’s our New Edition playlist based on our Top 5 episode on the group (on both Spotify and Apple Music):
Enjoy!
Apple Music doesn’t embed easily on Substack, so we’ll just have to link it instead.
