If you heard our Top 5 on Lauryn Hill and the Fugees, I chose a song as my top choice that isn't out there on streaming for some reason. However, it is on YouTube and I've embedded it below, Rumble In The Jungle from 1997.
I wanted to take this time to shout out John Forte who recently passed away. Mike and I mentioned Forte and even made a joke about him asking whether or not he was going to be on our Top Five. In fact, he was very much part of our Top Five, being on a few songs including the one I embedded above.
We pre-recorded the episode before his passing, but obviously brought him up because of how big of a part of The Fugees era and sound he was.
Who can forget when he was eating mangoes in Trinidad with attorneys?
RIP to John and best wishes to his friends and family.
